Photographs can be deceiving. An image that appears tranquil and quiet may have actually been taken in the midst of racket and chaos. That is just one of the magical powers a photographer can create in a print. In Chihuly in the Sky, St. Louis, Mary Winter photographs the illusion of glass floating in the sky, and in Shari Hartbauer’s image of a woman meditating There are many such moments on display in the group photography exhibit Focus on the World, May 3 – July 6 at the Leedy-Voulkos Art Center. All are welcome. Preview the exhibit catalog.
